AI has grown into a force to reckon with in the past few years. In 2019 traditional AI was still a technology that lawyers eyed on the horizon, with more than half (58%) predicting it would have an impact on their work over the next three years. Fast-forward to 2023, and an overwhelming 73% of lawyers expect to integrate generative AI into their work in the next year.
The impact of generative AI on the legal industry is growing, with most lawyers believing it will change how they work. But there’s no clear consensus on whether they see it as an opportunity or threat.
