In a broad discussion of the integration of Large Language Models with existing Legal Technology, the authors state that Law firms and lawyers who fail to understand the importance of data scientists and advanced technology to the legal profession will be left behind.
Importantly although ChatGPT can contribute to search, e-discovery, translation, knowledge management and legal analytics it cannot replace the expertise and judgment of a human lawyer.
