Tech startup DraftWise secures funding to advance AI in legal drafting and negotiation

DraftWise, a New York-based company specializing in AI-powered drafting and negotiating software for legal professionals, has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Index Ventures, with contributions from Y Combinator and Earlybird Digital East Ventures.

DraftWise’s technology uses generative AI to streamline contract creation by providing lawyers with immediate access to extensive institutional knowledge and data. The platform enables secure retrieval of a firm’s collective data to reduce potential errors and operational costs. The funding will be used to further invest in engineering, product development, and customer service capabilities, while also pursuing strategic growth to extend its market reach.
