The Law Society of New South Wales has announced the formation of a task force comprising legal and tech experts to help lawyers understand the impact of AI in the legal profession. The task force will advise the state’s 40,000 solicitors on the advantages and disadvantages of AI. It comprises members from various sectors, including the law, academia, and government. The initiative aims to help the legal profession adjust to technological advancements, shape the legal system, and deliver legal services more efficiently. The Law Society has already shared its expertise on AI with government inquiries at both the federal and state levels.
