Lawyers tip AI to boost growth, billings

Thomson Reuters survey of more than 1200 people working in professional services firms, in-house departments and government agencies in the UK and North America report that 67 per cent forecast that artificial intelligence would have a “transformational” or “high” impact over the next five years, compared with 53 per cent expecting that impact from the cost of living crisis.

Lawyers and other professional advisers regard artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT as another vehicle to boost profits and are looking forward to focusing on less menial work as the technology improves.
