Lawhive raises $12M to expand its legal tech AI platform for small firms

UK legal tech startup Lawhive has raised £9.5m ($11.9m) in a seed round to expand the reach of AI-driven services for small law firms. The platform applies AI to automate repetitive tasks such as client onboarding and document collection.

Lawhive targets small law firms and solo lawyers, which have smaller budgets and are more challenging to monetise. Lawhive plans to use the seed round to enter other markets. GV, the venture capital investment arm of US-based Alphabet, was the lead investor for this round, while London-based investor Episode 1 Ventures also participated.
