InfoTrack brings Australian legal searches and transactions into Claude

Australian legal technology provider InfoTrack has made its services available through an Anthropic-verified Claude connector, allowing practitioners to initiate searches and receive results without leaving their AI workspace.

The connector exposes more than 100 tools covering ASIC records, property titles, bankruptcy checks, PPSR searches, AML onboarding, contract preparation and contract review. InfoTrack says each paid order requires practitioner approval and draws on the same live registry and property-data infrastructure used through its existing platform. Claude returns the results for review.

The connector was added to Anthropic’s directory in August but received wider Australian legal-industry attention on 28 October. Its practical performance, accuracy and adoption by law firms have not yet been independently measured.

The development matters because legal AI is moving from generating answers to initiating consequential external actions. A model can now identify a required search, place an approved order and incorporate the resulting information into its analysis.

That shortens the distance between reasoning and execution—but also raises the assurance threshold. A live registry result may verify a fact. Yet, it does not establish that the correct search was ordered, that the result was interpreted properly or that the practitioner adopted the resulting conclusion. Legal workflows will increasingly need to record each of those steps separately.
