Denmark’s Pandektes Bags €2.9m For GenAI Legal Search

Danish legal tech startup Pandektes has raised €2.9 million in seed funding for its genAI research platform, which helps users navigate legislation, locate case law, ask legal queries, and build knowledge bases. Founded in 2023 by Casper Laursen and Søren Brokær, the company aims to eliminate jurisdictional barriers in Europe and create a comprehensive legal database from various EU countries. The funding comes from People Ventures, Interface Capital, and Nordic business angels.

Pandektes aims to increase access to legal resources, with Laursen noting that legal professionals currently access only a tiny fraction of available court rulings. Their solution is expected to significantly enhance efficiency in legal research. They have already acquired over 100 customers across Europe, and with the new funding, they plan to expand their platform to encompass all EU jurisdictions. People Ventures’ CFO Magnus Sagsted highlighted the company’s impressive growth and the increasing demand for innovation in the legal sector.
