Defining Data: Improving Terminology Around Generative AI Models

Generative AI, in its current form, is trained, programmed and provided with data to accomplish a specific task. Regardless of this narrow scope, Generative AI systems are still capable of producing extraordinary content and output.

As stakeholders around the globe continue toward establishing laws, regulations, policies and standards for the rapidly developing field of AI, it’s critical that appropriate terminology is employed in connection with the data, content, information, and other training materials powering generative AI systems.
