Bloomberg Law has introduced two new features powered by generative AI: Bloomberg Law Answers and Bloomberg Law AI Assistant.
Bloomberg Law Answers generates responses by referencing various legal sources on the Bloomberg Law platform. Each generated response is accompanied by citations and links to the relevant Bloomberg Law authorities and source documents utilised, including select primary and secondary sources.
Bloomberg Law AI Assistant is a chat-based research tool that enables users to create summaries of legal documents and pose specific questions to extract particular information from those documents.
Both Bloomberg Law Answers and Bloomberg Law AI Assistant are available in beta on the Bloomberg Law platform at no extra cost and will continue to be refined based on user feedback.
These new products were introduced in Bloomberg Law’s Innovation Studio, an experimental development environment accessible to select clients. The current versions of these tools have been improved by incorporating suggestions from participants in the Innovation Studio, highlighting Bloomberg Law’s dedication to a customer-focused approach to developing new features.
“The introduction of Bloomberg Law Answers and Bloomberg Law AI Assistant exemplifies our commitment to using innovative technologies to tackle challenges faced by attorneys in their workflow,” stated Bobby Puglia, chief product officer at Bloomberg Industry Group. “Insights from Bloomberg Law customers involved in the Innovation Studio have led to improved accuracy and reliable results from these new tools.”
