Bird & Bird has partnered with Leya, a legal tech startup using AI to automate tasks and access data. The firm will evaluate Leya’s capabilities across its global network and implement the tool in the UK, Germany, Spain, and the Nordics.
Bird & Bird has initiated various initiatives to prepare for the trial, including providing training and ensuring responsible technology use. The aim is to enhance client innovation and value by leveraging Leya’s AI capabilities.
Leya secured $10.5 million in funding earlier this year. CEO Max Junestrand expressed enthusiasm, and Hélder Santos, Head of Legal Tech and Innovation at Bird & Bird, commented on the potential of Leya’s product. Karen Jacks, Chief Technology Officer at Bird & Bird, noted that the trial aligns with the company’s five-year strategy to guide organisations through a world shaped by technology, innovation, and regulation.
