Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, believes that the fears around AI’s impact on the world and jobs are exaggerated, particularly regarding artificial general intelligence (AGI). He believes that AGI could be developed shortly. OpenAI aims to achieve AGI safely, has a private market valuation of nearly $100 billion, and is backed by Microsoft.
