These tools aim to enhance legal research by providing direct answers to inquiries and allowing document-specific queries. They are now available to subscribers at no extra cost. The features include detailed responses with extensive citation support and distinctive source attribution through footnotes.
The development process emphasised accuracy and transparency, with input from legal data analysts. The tools utilise a content-grounding strategy to manage the risks of hallucinations and ensure responses are based solely on Bloomberg Law’s resources. Upcoming enhancements will expand the AI assistant’s capabilities, including broader research functionalities. Bloomberg Law is also exploring integration with other legal platforms to streamline research workflows in the future.
